Should I use Revivogen?
Successfully treating one's hair loss is a matter of putting together and consistently applying a quality treatment regimen. The two FDA-approved treatments, Minoxidil and Propecia, address hair loss
from different angles. Minoxidil is a growth-stimulant, but does not deal with the underlying cause of androgenetic hair loss, which stems from a hormone called DHT binding with receptors on the hair
follicles and causing them to miniaturize over time. Propecia does address the DHT problem by preventing the formation of DHT by inhibiting an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase -- a key component in the formation of DHT.
But in rare cases Propecia has been shown to have sexual side-effect. And Minoxidil has its share of potential side-effects as well.
Another issue with Propecia is that it has to be taken internally and therefore inhibits DHT throughout the entire body. It is not known whether this can have potentially negative side-effects in the long term (though for the most
part it has been proven safe).
Revivogen is definitely an option for those hair loss sufferers that want to eliminate the potential for side-effects that come with the FDA-approved drugs for treating hair loss. It is also a good option for people that want to use
one or both of the approved treatments, but want some added insurance with a product that inhibits DHT topically in the scalp.
Pregnant women and women that may have children in the future must NOT take Propecia as it can cause ambiguous genitals in a developing fetus. Revivogen is an excellent alternative in this case.
Overall, one must do extensive research and understand the root causes of hair loss, so that one can avoid products that don't deliver in dealing with it and so that one can pick quality products for their regimen. It is the opinion of the author
