Xandrox 12.5% Lotion

Original Purpose or Use:

Minoxidil -- Vasodilator. High blood pressure medication. Azeleic Acid -- Acne medication.

FDA Approved?

No.

Scientific Results:

While I am not aware of any studies pertaining specifically to Xandrox. There are quite a few studies on the active ingredients.

Observed Results:

moderate to excellent regrowth in crown/vertex, hairline, and temple areas

Notes:

This is a cream based product containing minoxidil 12.5% and azeleic acid 5%. It absorbs very quickly into the skin and leaves the hair in nice shape when used properly. I apply it to the hairline, temples and crown in the mornings because it leaves the hair looking a lot better than the liquid-based solutions. I use the liquid based Xandrox solutions in the afternoon and evenings. I am very happy with the regrowth that this product has given me.

Side Effects:

Because of the high concentration of minoxidil, it can have systemic effects like lowered blood pressure and heart palpitations. It should be used in moderation. I personally have observed any side-effects from using the product.
