This is an essential long-chain unsaturated fatty acid found naturally in many foods.
FDA Approved?
N/A (ALA is not a drug)
Scientific Results:
Several studies show that unsaturated fatty acids act as DHT inhibitors and anti-androgens
Observed Results:
None
Notes:
ALA is found in many "natural" foods, as are other fatty acids. ALA has been shown to be not as potent a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor as GLA, but it more potent than both LA and Oleic Acid.
