Donor Areas
If you feel you do not have enough of a donor area on the back and sides of your head, are there any other options for transplants?
Thank you.
Pat,
Most men and women use a combination of treatments and procedures to achieve their hair restoration goals. If your donor area is limited, the key (from my point of view) is to target the most cosmetically-significant area in order to achieve a satisfying result. Interestingly, most women can identify a particular 'trouble-spot' or problem area (like the front/center, for example) that can be addressed with one or two minmal sessions of transplantation. A meticulous approach is mandatory so that the donor harvest is maximized and we are adding hair between your existing follicles.
Non-invasive treatments (like minoxidil or laser therapy) are also helpful because they can improve the quality of your existing hair.
