hair loss
I am 40 years old. I had my third child 9 months ago. I have breastfeed my last two children until they were 3. I will probably let my third child naturally wean himself aswell. So I have pretty much been breastfeeding for 8 years!!!
My question is; my hair I noticed is beginning to really thin. especially at the front and top. I'm curious if I am reaching a point in my life where genetics are taking over or is it because I have been breastfeeding so long? I have an identicle twin sister who is ahead of me having children - with her oldest who is 10 years old,6 years old and youngest who is 3 years old. She has the same hair loss symptoms, but not as much thinning. We are adopted and no nothing about genetics for us.
We are at a loss - hair loss that is!
Gill,
You are experiencing female pattern hair loss. This is due to hormone fluctuations. As a result you are producing more DHT resulting in thinning on your scalp. I would recommend that you start with and anti-DHT treatment like Revivogen to prevent further hair loss and regrow some of the hair that you have lost within the last 3 years.
