Dr. Bernstein, founder and Chief Surgeon of the Bernstein Medical Center for Hair Restoration, is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia Unversity in New York. He is recognized world wide for developing the Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation (FUHT) technique used by the majority of hair transplant surgeons in the world today.

Dr. Bernstein, I was just wondering if you have heard of the FIT technique performed by a number of doctors... the most previlent being Dr. John P. Cole in Atlanta. What could you tell me about this procedure and would you recommend it? Thanks Jon

Answer

It is the same as FUE with the same indications, pros and cons. FIT is the name Dr. Cole calls his FUE procedure. He uses his own instruments for his FIT technique. Sincerely, Dr. Bernstein
