Sir: I have lost all the hair on my legs in the past two years. They were always hairy. I shaved them a lot last summer and had some regrowth. Then after this winter its all gone now. I am 53 years old and this seems to be the place where I am losing hair. Could this be a lack of hormones? Plewase help if you can. Thanks,God Bless Jerry miller

Answer

It is common for men to lose hair naturally on their legs as they age. Alopeica areata can also cause this. I would see a dermatologist to be examined.
