Dear Andy, The term you are referring to is an M shape progression of a receding hairline where the frontal hairline above the nose is still intact but the frontal hairline above the eyes is beginning to recede. This type of hairline recession is many times connected with early stages of male pattern baldness and is compatible with stages 1-3 on the Norwood scale. Thank you for your question.
