Eyebrow Loss!! Please Help!!
Hi,
I was wondering if you could please help me.
For the last 2 years I have used a hair dye, which was meant for the scalp, on my eyebrows to achieve a darker look. For those 2 years I was dying my eyebrows at least twice every month. Eight months ago, it all went seriously wrong. I caught a skin infection from using the dye and around 90 percent of my eyebrow hair completely fell out. I saw my doctor and he gave me a cream, which healed the skin infection and told me that my eyebrows would soon re-grow. Eight months on and I have seen hardly no re-growth at all, only a very few hairs. My eyebrow hair has only continued to slowly fall out and not re-grow. I have used Talika Eyebrow Lipocils for 2 months and I have not seen any new hairs. I also tried Regaine, but had to stop after 3 weeks as it was irritating and drying out my skin. The doctor said that I have not damaged the hair roots but I am very upset, as there is no re-growth and does not seem to be any solution to my problem. Please can you offer me any advice on what I should do.
Thankyou. Jodie Foster
Dear Jodie,
I would not use any medication or treatments on your eyebrows for at least one year as eyebrows are slow to return. At that time, if they haven't come back you may want to consider an eyebrow transplant.
