Dear Dr Bauman
I need your help in regards to my eyebrow problem.As I am running out of options , and answers.
I am currently 25 years old and have been loosing my hair on my head since I was 18 , I beleive I am classified as a norwood 5a. Anyways that in itself is hard enought to deal with , but now for about the past 2 years since I was about 22 or 23 I have noticed that from the corner of my eyebrows at the bridge of my nose to about the middle of my eyebrows seems to be ( receding ), at first I thought it was all in my head , but now I know otherwise. I was aprroaching my family doctors who thought that I was just being paranoid , and because my eyebrows were still dark they saw no need for a dermatoligist. So to prove a point to myself and my doctors , I shaved my eyebrows very short , and to my scared amazment I had finnaly seen what the problem is , I have seen what looks to be tiny pin hole sized dots in my eyebrow regions where hair has seemed to just stopped growing , so finally after for complaining for years about this problem I finnaly got to go and see a dermatoligest , and I was so excited , and after I left her office I was so let down , and very worried , as she said to me that she didn't know what it was , and that there wasn't much you can do when it comes to eyebrow hair. Please help me . I don't want to loose any more hair there , I mean I am still young and in my prime , I am not 60 or 70 here.
She said very well that it could be alopecia , but she wasn't sure. Is there anyway to test or truly find out what it is?My eyebrow loss I mean.
I don't want to stand by a litteraly watch my eyebrows completly dissapear in the next 2 to years. I mean they are shedding like crazy , and the bald patches are becoming moore and more bigger and frequent. Hair transplatation to my eyebrows is not an option as I am poor , and in no way can afford to pay for a hair transplant for my eyebrows. Please help me , you are really my last hope and I will be hoping that you will reply like you have very well for others with similar questions. Thanking you in advance for your time

Unfortunately, diagnosis over the internet is difficult. However, I can tell you that we have had excellent success with eyebrow transplantation in both men and women. After a complete examination, we can determine if you are a candidate for eyebrow transplants. Eyebrow transplantation can undetectably restore your own living and growing hair into the eyebrow area.
