Itchy tingling scalp

Question

No dandruff shampoo not nizoral, head and shoulders, neutragena, and about 8 others have helped with my dandruff. I have been to 2 different derms and tried foams capex and other shampoos. Saw palmetto stopped the itch completely but the effect gradually went away. Is it possible androgen activity in the scalp is causing my itch? I have heard of people stopping the itch with DHT inhibitors.

Answer

DHT inhibitors may help but you may want to get steroid injections to the scalp to stop the itching.
