Are Acne and hairloss linked or related in any way? I read in the propecia FDA meeting that propecia did not help with acne. From what I have read acne seems to be DHT and hormone related is this true? I have acne little bumps all over my face and ive had them since I was like 12. I am losing my hair now at 23 and it began very slowly at about 18.

Dear Joe, Acne and hair loss are both related to DHT. Please read on www.Clearogen.com The reason that Propecia does not work for acne is that Propecia inhibits Type II 5-alpha-reductase which is prominent in the hair follicle but not in the sebaceous gland. In order to help acne, medications need to inhibit Type I of the enzyme like Clearogen.
