miniturized hairs
At the crown I have pulled out very short hairs with no pigment they clearly are miniturized. My head itches a lot at the crown as well. Im 23 and where my head itches is where I notice hairloss and miniturizing hairs. My hair is still kinda thick but I certainly notice and my mom and uncles have both mentioned my hair looks thinner. Derms cant really tell though because compared to some people my hair looks pretty good still. Does this sound like MPB to you?
Miniaturizing hairs (shorter, thinner, less pigmented hairs) are the hallmark of male pattern baldness. Typically, this happens in the temples (frontal hairline) as well as the crown/vertex area. Propecia is the primary treatment to stop (and hopefully reverse) the miniaturization. If the miniaturization continues, the follicles eventually die and the area will require some degree of hair transplantation to maintain coverage.
