Eyelash transplant
I\'ve heard that after three weeks of eyelash transplant patient should expect lost of the grafted hair and expect to have a new hair regrowth of the same follicle of grafted hair within 4 months ... Is this true that the lost hair would be regain or it only means that the graft is lost forever? How will you know if its really lost? Can you also forward me pictures of eyelash patient after 3 weeks and 4 months of eyelash transplant procedure? Appreciate all of your advise and more prower?
After the follicles have been implanted into the lid, there is a short healing process (a few days) that needs to occur. Once the healing is completed, the hair shafts shed from the follicles and a new ones regrow after several months. Three weeks and four months are not typical follow-up dates, so I don't have photos in that exact time frame. After two weeks, the lids look EXACTLY as they do prior to surgery--healing is complete. At four months, the lashes are just starting to grow. It really takes six to ten months to really appreciate the growth. Most post-op photos are taken after one year.
Let me know what additional questions you have.
Sincerely,
Dr. B.
