Male pattern hair loss is characterized by a recession of the hairline as well as thinning in the vertex/crown area. The currently accepted medical treatment for male pattern hair loss is Propecia (a prescription pill) and hair transplantation. In order to find out if you are a candidate for hair restoration treatments, you should contact a physician who specializes in hair loss.
