Slight recession with age
Im really not sure whether im just starting to go bald or not. Im 22 almost 23 and my hair is still kinda thick, at 20 I still had my complete hairline I had at say 16, then at 21 it started receding very slowly and is not really noticeable. I cant convince any dermatologist that is actually hair loss or a problem they tend to just tell me its my adult hairline forming and not to worry about it. Is this true? I am losing hair though just very slowly.
Thank you
If you have hair loss in the family (mother's or father's side) I would be worried about male pattern hair loss. I am not sure why the average dermatologist does not like to treat hair loss... Luckily, in my area of the country, we have many derms who want to help their patients who are suffering from premature hair loss. If you can send photos, I can give you a better idea of what you should, or shouldn't be considering for treatment. Sincerely, Dr. B.
