Hair loss and hypothyroidism
When I was 16 I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Before I was even diagnosed, I noticed hair loss. My parents didn't really think the comment was on par with reality because I had extremely thick, coarse, curly hair, and there was no way to tell i had lost anything until nearly a year later. I am now 20 and my thyroid has been relatively stable with medication but I am now noticeably balding. What would you reccomend for regrowth if regrowth is even possible?
Hello Thomas,
Your best bet is to try propecia and rogaine for at least one year. Make sure you see a thyroid specialist. It is difficult to get the thyroid in perfect balance,
