Question Topic

dht inhibition

Question

Do you have or can you formulate any topicals that may help inhibit DHT in the scalp? thanks

Answer

Hello Blueshard. Our Equisomin Serum contains botanicals, vitamins, actives, and minerals. Some components in the formula and their combinations are known to defy DHT under certain conditions. This does not mean that Equisomin Serum activity is via the DHT channel or that the DHT-related components are active in the same way in Equisomin Serum. The serum is a powerful anti-aging formula and MPB is a multi-faceted phenomena, of which early-aging related deterioration of complex structures in the scalp is an important factor. In many cases hair loss is associated with increased presence of bacteria, fungi, and inflammation in various degrees. EquiClear Serum and our Micellarin Green shampoo are compatible with scalps susceptible to bacteria and fungi contamination or inflammation. We can also formulate a product with more focus on DHT. There are many options for such a formula but I can suggest an ingredient which is suitable and cost effective for a very small manufacturing volume. I would suggest the incorporation of soy extract to the formula. Other DHT-related active ingredients are only cost effective in large batch manufacturing. You can use The Formulator, http://www.the-formulator.com, and we can help you select ingredients for your custom-made retail size product. Thank you for your question.
