Acupuncture and Hair Loss
Is acupuncture therapy beneficial in the treatment of MPB?
I've witnessed some astounding uses of acupuncture as anesthesia in operating rooms in China. In fact, I had a conversation with a patient while he was having open heart surgery, utilizing only acupuncture anesthesia. But acupuncture does not seem to have any benefits for treating MPB, although opponents of acupuncture therapy claim that the use of acupuncture supports the normal body functions. Although we still don't understand how it works, there is undoubtedly a relationship to the neurological system. The factors involved in MPB seem largely unrelated to the neurological system.
