Finasteride Dose

Is it true there is little difference in the amount of DHT inhibited in both scalp skin & serum with doses of Finasteride from 0.20mg - 5.0mg ? Thank you

	Answer

True. However, in the rigorous dosing studies done by Merck, they found that 1mg had optimal hair growth effects with the mimium side effects. (They studied an extensive range of dosages and monitored the positive and negative results). 0.2 mg per day does not give the optimal hair growth effects. If you are using less than one mg/day you are probably still getting some follicle miniaturization that could be prevented. --Dr. B. doctorb@baumanmedical.com
