Shedding making problem worse
Ive heard many propecia users speak of shedding phases that make the hair loss look much worse than before they began propecia. In some cases the hair they lost didnt come back. These stories scare me a lot and are the main reason along with price that make me think twice about using it. Is this true? How likely is this? Im 22 and its beginning but not that noticeable yet.
Shedding from hair growth treatments are rare in real life, although very common in chat-rooms. Hair growth treatments like Propecia and Minoxidil 'wake up' follicles, so they tend to push out old, resting hair shafts. This is a sign that the medication is working.
Propecia has a 90% chance of helping you look the same or better after 5 years.
Sincerely,
Dr. B.
