Telogen Effluvium..
Hi Dr. Bauman!
I am concerned with Telogen Effluvium. I take Effexor XR 150mg, Klonopin, and Seroquel 400mg a day to stabalize my mood. These medicines are a miracle and saved my life. They continue to do well.
My question is I started these medicines in February of this year and in the past few months I have been experiencing frontal thinning as well as all over thinning. Could it be TE? And if it is, can I go to my family practitioner and have him diagnose me? And, if it is TE, will taking the medicine for the rest of my life make me bald??? I know this is a lot of questions and I'm sorry!! Any info. would help me....
Thank You!!
TE is best diagnosed by your local dermatologist. If we want to maintain and restore your hair, a more detailed medical history and photos would be needed.
Keep me posted.
Sincerely,
Dr. B.
