Hairloss in the Ophiasis Region
I am a 29 year old female who is experiencing patchy hair loss. The derm diagnosed me with seborrhic derm. The largest patch is on the left side of my head in the ophiasis region - treatment with use of topical steroids and now cortasteroid injections has so far been unsuccesful in regrowing the hair. Am i a candidate for hair transplants?
If the hair loss has been around in that area for more than one year and is stabilized (not increasing) then we might consider transplanting that area. If the area is 'burned out' then the transplant will work. If the area has 'active disease' then it will not.
Can you send photos of the area(s)?
Sincerely,
