Propecia and prostate cancer
Doctors at the american cancer society among others are seriously questioning the safety of propecia. Some maybe unrespectable sites claim that Merks trials leave out questions regarding sexual side effects and if they correlate with each other and how long they last. These kinds of questions scare me. In your guess do you question propecias safety in using it as only a preventative measure?
Sexual side effects from Propecia, if they occur at all, are mild, temporary and reversible. They occur in less than 2% of patients. There is no recommended change in prescription habits based on any new research. Propecia remains the standard-of-care for the treatment of male pattern hair loss in conjunction with hair transplantation. It is my opinion that propecia is safe and effective.
