Is it possible to have TE on top of scalp instead of sides?
Hi DR. Bauman. My derm diagnose me with Telogen effluvium becuase of my personal life situation since 2 years ago. All i can say it's not work stress type. It's more extreme. I believe i had more than 3 to 4 occasion of TE but the last one was the most noticed. all i can say is that last summer i had more hair then my friends who have more then me. I never notice thinning only a massive shed. It look like my scalp is in a telogen phase but it's only on top. I'm still a nw 1.5 and my family history is grandparents, greatgrandparents, father, and all unckles from both side of family have full head of hair except 2 out of 7 on moms side only that are bald. My main question is it possible to have TE on top of the scalp only? and if so is minoxidil a more rapid solution? please answer. Thanks alot
TE or not, if you are male with a history of hair loss in your family, you need Propecia, period!
Minoxidil can be added to the regimen to improve the results of the Propecia. Propecia is my first choice and minoxidil a second.
Can you send me a photo of the loss?
Sincerely,
Dr. B.
