Doctor Khadavi!
Sorry for bothering you, but I really need your help. I have lost much hair since this February. The problem is that I changed climate last year to a much drier one, then stopped taking Diane-35 in February 2004. Since that I have lost nearly half of my hair. I had it curly during all my life. Besides it was dry and thick. Now it is thin, oily at the roots and dry at the ends. I thought I could be connected with me having had PCOS (polycyctic ovary syndome)for about 6 month already . My doctor prescribed Prometrium for me to treat this disorder. Will this medecine also help me get my hair back as I always had it?
I hoped it would normalize my hormonal system and it would also bring back my normal hair.
What woud you say about that?
Thank you in advance
regards.
Dear Nataliya,
The hair loss that you are experiencing is most likely a hormonal issue. While the Diane-35 was helping your hair loss, I do not believe that Prometrium is going to be as effective. What is the reason that you discontinued with Diane-35?
