Hair loss associated with red scalp, oil, & itchiness
I am a female age 23 that has been experiencing hair loss from the top of my head for the last 5 years. My hair loss started with oilyness then pimples and oilyness then redness at the back top of my head with oilyness and pimples, which is where I am now. I am scared that I have damaged my hair by not properly treating it all this time. My question is my scalp has been tender (red at back top) now for at least three years and want to know what it means and what the chances are after treating it that my hair will grow back. Thank you so much for your help.

You are experiencing a form of hair loss due to inflammation of the scalp. This could be either due to Seborrheic Dermatitis or Folliculitis. You need to see a dermatologist to initiate the correct therapy.
