Surfactants in Shampoo

Posted on Tuesday 27 January 2004

In my last rant, I mentioned why it’s a good idea to try to avoid propylene glycol in your hair loss treatment products. There are other ingredients you should try to avoid as well–in your shampoos. These are a class of chemicals called surfactants. Ever heard of sodium lauryl sulfate? I’m keeping this current rant short because a recent member of the Morphollica.com Hair Loss Forums wrote a great post on the good, bad, and ugly of ingredients in shampoos.

This is a great list to keep handy, even bookmark, so that when you’re looking for a quality shampoo you can check its ingredients against the this list. My thanks to Akira for this excellent post:
SURFACTANTS: the best and the worst (attention to these)
