I spoke about this in the past, and my current guess on the matter is the same. I doubt hair cloning will be a viable option for anyone who is currently losing their hair for at LEAST a decade, and I feel that this is optimistic. I don’t think the quality will reach the level of a high quality conventional transplant for a long time afterwards even if hair cloning becomes viable. This technique will probably be very expensive, and simply not worth the money when compared to a high quality conventional transplant. I am not trying to rain on anyone’s parade. This is my opinion afterall, but consider this: why should someone risk having hair that may not survive, that could potentially cause cancer, transplanted into their scalp at a rate that is probably going to be at least 3 times that of a conventional transplant? If you think I should eat my words, I look forward to hearing from you in the forums, where we can debate this matter.
